DOES THE LEGAL FEE INCLUDES DISBURSEMENT AND FILING FEE TO THE COURT ETC.?

No. Our legal fee excludes disbursements, which are out-of-pocket expenses which we incur on your behalf. These expenses include court e-filing fee, postage charges, telephone charges, photocopying charges, court fees and the costs of airfare and/or hotel accommodation for any travel outside Cyberjaya relating to this matter by our lawyers. A classified list of disbursements will be provided in each invoice.

WHY LAWYER’S FEE IS SO EXPENSIVE?

That’s a common misconception. Lawyer’s fee corresponds well with the amount of work, time, skill and effort spent in solving the cases before them. Clients may overlook that the lawyer’s tasks in researching the law in which more often than not involve the process of understanding and translating legal jargons in the preparation of agreements, documents or cause papers as well as in evaluating evidences are done without the presence of our clients. We take the responsibility and pride to free our clients from the hustle of doing a task a layman would not be able to do and give them instead a peace of mind and assurance that their cases will be well taken care off. As much as the lawyer’s fee may sometimes be quoted at a price beyond the client’s expectation, we nevertheless quote with a reasonable fee which correspond with the complexity of the cases given to us accordingly. Worry not, as we may, according to case to case basis, give the allowed discounts as prescribed by the Solicitor’s Remuneration Order 2005 (SRO 2005) to our clients in view to a long-term commercial relationship. 😉

If you are interested to appoint us as lawyer you may schedule a consultation with our lawyer for evaluation of your case. As a token of commercial gesture, our initial consultation with our clients will be free of charges. We will give you our preliminary opinion and a preliminary advice on the related law, the possible courses of action that you may pursue and the pros and cons in pursuing your claim. We will proceed to quote our legal fees and upon acceptance on the same, we will prepare the necessary documentation i.e. our Legal Services Agreement for us to act and work for your case in which you will indicate your acceptance to our terms and conditions of our services.
